Should the Cowboys Extend Jaylon Smith, Now or Later?
There's a lot of contract extensions chatter this offseason, but DeMarcus Lawrence is really the only one that has received an extension of significance to this point.
Obviously there have been rumblings that Dak Prescott, Amari Cooper, and Ezekiel Elliott could have new contracts before the start of the season.
There have been whispers that Jaylon Smith is in talks, but that has not been confirmed. It is more likely that the "lines" are now open for preliminary numbers.
Jaylon Smith will turn 24 in June, and will become a restricted free agent after the 2019 season. Should the Cowboys wait and just slap the 1st round tender or should they extend him long-term now?
